  • Can you cater for dietary requirements?
    Whilst we follow best practice at all times, we would like to highlight that all dishes we serve are produced in an environment where allergens are also prepared and cooked. Therefore we are unable to guarantee the environment will be completely allergen free. We cannot cater to the following intolerances and restrictions; - Dairy - Alliums - Mushroom - Vegan - Sulphite We urge you to have an open mind and ask for your confidence in our preparations; therefore, we do not make menu adaptions for dislikes. We can alter our menus for vegetarians, pescatarians and strict allergies or intolerances not mentioned above. We must have at least 48 hours notice to honour this and must be informed when booking. If you are making a group booking, it is your responsibility to make us aware of dietary requirements of your party. Unannounced dietary requirements will not be catered for and a charge will still be applicable.
  • Do you allow children in the restaurant?
    We allow children as young as 12 in the restaurant, and we love it when they enjoy either of our Pine experiences. Please be aware that we do not offer a children's menu for either service and a seat in the restaurant is a fixed price depending on service, regardless of age. All children should be supervised by an adult at all times to avoid any potential disruptions to other guests.
  • Is there wheelchair access?
    Yes, though our restaurant is on the first floor there is both an access ramp and service elevator in place to allow you to enjoy the experience in the main restaurant.
  • Are babies allowed in the restaurant?
    Unfortunately not.
  • Are walk ins allowed?
    We are a reservation only restaurant with minimum notice of 48 hours.
  • What table sizes are available?
    We offer parties from 1-6 people, however due to the popularity of tables of 2, you are more likely to find an available table for 4-6 guests.
  • Can I reschedule my booking?
    Yes, by contacting the restaurant via email or phone with at least 48 hours notice. Please note; this does not include voicemail messages.
  • What happens if I do not turn up for my booking?
    Credit card details are required to secure your booking if you have used a voucher to make your reservation. No payment is taken from the card used however in the event that a booking is not honoured in whole or in part, which includes reducing numbers, or is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice a fee of £120 per person for an evening reservation will be applicable to the card provided. A deposit is required of £50 per person. Any cancellations within our 48 hour cancellation policy are non refundable. Any cancellations requested, regardless of time before cancelling, where a deposit has been paid will be subject to a 5% fee for processing and application fees through our payment provider. If you have booked for our chef's table experience, the full payment of the menu is required at the point of booking. We have a 72 hour cancellation policy for the chef's table experience and cancellations made within this time are non refundable. Any cancellations requested, regardless of time before cancelling, where a deposit has been paid will be subject to a 5% fee for processing and application fees through our payment provider.
  • I'm running late for my booking, what should I do?"
    Please arrive on time for your booking, and contact us if you are running late. Please note that arriving more than 15 minutes late may result in missing part of your experience.
  • COVID-19?
    We are delighted to finally allow you to dine at Pine, we only ask you to be mindful of the team and other guests during your visit. If you have any symptoms of coronavirus and are unable to attend your reservation, please get in touch with us at the earliest opportunity to reschedule your reservation.
  • Are there any car parking facilities?
    Yes, there is a free car park on site.
  • Is there a dress code?
    There is no dress code required at Pine.
  • Can I bring my own wine?
    We do not allow any outside wine, we do, however, offer carefully selected wine pairings to accompany our menu. Our sommelier, Vanessa, will be more than happy to discuss your options.
  • What accommodation is near by?
    Closest to Pine are Hygge cabins which are also located at Vallum farm. There is also Matfen Hall Spa Hotel which is a 5 minute drive to the nearest village of Matfen.
  • How can I get to Pine with public transport?
    The nearest train station is Corbridge Railway Station (5.6 miles). From here we would recommend using a taxi service to complete your journey.
  • Do you allow dogs at Pine?
    Unfortunately, we do not allow dogs into the restaurant at this time with the exception of guide dogs or assistance dogs.
  • How long should I expect my dining experience to last?
    We recommend allowing 3-3.5 hours for the full dining experience.
  • Can you recommend a taxi company to hire?
    Absolutely, we thoroughly recommend planning your journey to the restaurant with local driver Guy Hunter from Hunter Taxis. To book a taxi, please call 07786620661. We can also help arrange a taxi for your departure on the evening of your visit to allow you to enjoy your experience at your own pace.
